Team Competition
Team Definitions
- School/Rec teams are either: 1) Comprised of athletes from a single school, or 2) A recognized consortium of schools
- A Rec Team would be open to any dancer who meets team requirements (residency, age, etc.) without tryouts
- An All Star team exists mainly for the purpose of competition and has a specified selection process/criteria

School/Rec Team Devisions
Cheer
- Large Varsity
(13+ members)
- Small Varsity
(12- members)
- Varsity Co-Ed
- Varsity Non-Stunting
- JV Stunting and Non Stunt
- Freshmen Stunt and Non Stunt
- Middle / Junior High; Grades 6-9
(includes Rec teams; Stunt and Non Stunt)

(Levels as warranted)
- Cheer Dance
(The division will be divided as entries warrant. Teams entering this category compete in the cheer category and are subject to the $50 second routine fee. If this is the team's only performance they must pay the regular per person entry fee.) |

(The division will be divided evenly based on school enrollment)

- Middle /Jr. High (Grades 6-9)

- Collegiate
- All Star
(All age levels are eligible to compete in Pom, Jazz, Open, Kick and Hip-Hop. Teams may enter as as many categories as they wish.) |
All Star Dance Divisions
- Tiny: Average grade level of Kindergarten or younger
- Mini: Average grade level of 3.0 or younger
- Youth: Average grade level of 6.0 or younger
- Junior: Average grade level of 9.0 or younger
- Senior: Average grade level of 12.0 or younger
- Collegiate: Should enter Collegiate school division
Individual/Small Group Competition
Cheer
- Cheer Solos
NOTE: Cheer solos will compete on the main mat prior to the team competition. We reserve the right to limit entries.
- Partner Stunt: 2 members plus spotter; will compete on main mat during team competition
- Stunt Teams: 4-6 members; will compete on main mat during team competition

Dance
- Solos: Divided by school grade
- Duets: Based on average age
- Trios: Based on average age
- Ensembles: 4-6 dancers; based on average age
Dance may be any style; divisions WILL NOT be separated based on style. All dance divisions will compete opposite of team schedule (i.e. high school solos will compete in AM; elementary will compete in PM). |
Awards
Solo/Ensemble/Team Performance Awards
1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division. Additional awards will be added for divisions with more than 5 entries.
All elementary and middle school teams and individuals will receive an award.
ALL solo, duet, trio and ensemble awards will take place where the solo/ ensemble contest is held, immediately following tabulation of the session results. Awards will be given for the top three scoring individuals/groups. Awards will be extend to the five highest scores if entries warrant. HOWEVER: ALL dancers in grades 8 and younger will receive a medal. Those individuals/ groups who do not place in the award position will be called to the awards table by name IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER to receive a medal and scoresheet.
PLEASE NOTE: NO scoresheets and/or awards will be mailed (team or individual/ensemble.)
